As well as all the support available to you within the training programme and the individual Trusts you will be based, there is also external support available to all trainees on our training programmes.
NHS England
NHS England will be your recruiter in to your training post and they also provide support to you during your training. Their support portal is a great resource for frequently asked questions, accessed here.
NHS England’s Professional Support Unit can be accessed should you find yourself in any difficulty during your training. More information can be found here.
Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych)
The RCPsych are also available to support you during your training. Their website is an excellent resource for any information you need in regards to the curriculum, exams and range of support provided to you during your training. You can access their website here.
British Medical Association (BMA)
The BMA has a range of support services for its members. This ranges from psychological support services to learning resources you may find useful during your training. You can access their website here.
Medical Indemnity Organisations
There are a range of medical indemnity organisations that provide support such as expert guidance and defence should you need this in the event of a GMC/disciplinary investigation, patient complaints and/or coroners inquests.
